Data on phenotypic variability and correlations of valerian quantitative traits are presented. Cultivar population of Valeriana officinalis L. is repre-sented by various forms, which differ in quantitative features. It permits to improve the cultivar population by the most important characteristics by selec-tion. The strong variability of the diameter of the main stem, the seed productivity and the energy of germination of Valeriana officinalis L. seeds was re-vealed. A stable inverse correlation between the germination of seeds and the height of plants is established. It allows to conduct a preliminary selection of plants with high quality of seeds by short stature and to speed up the breeding process with Valeriana officinalis L.
