The purpose of this review is to analyze and summarize the literature and experimental studies conducted in the VILAR, which allow to reveal the prospects of bioregulation of the productivity of the saprophyte Claviceps purpurea (Fries) Tulasne, grown under conditions of deep cultivation. It is shown that the mycelium of the fungus of ergot in the development process exposes an exogenously determined amount of phytohormones of a multidi-rectional action, which ensures its development in the sphacelial stage. In turn, the use of hormonal balance of the host plant allows the fungus to go through all the stages of its development to sclerotia. The appearance of «honey dew» on the plant, which is not typical for uninfected plants, indicates that the fungus for its full development can manifest the ability to control the physiological processes occurring in the plant. In the conditions of artificial cultivation, a significant dependence of growth, conidiogenesis and biosynthetic productivity of saprophytic mushroom culture on the type of hormonal factor and its concentration was established. The most effective for conidiogenesis and growth is the inclusion in the nutrient medium of GA. The productivity of culture in conidia, in this case, increases more than 12 times. It was shown that the change in the concentration of GA can be regulated in time and the onset of conidiogenesis without decreasing the productivity of conidia. A sufficiently high correlation between the content of endogenous amino acids and the concentration of ha, retardants in the nutrient medium. It was established that GA, CCC, 2-CEFA had a positive effect on the biosynthesis of indole derivatives. The presented research results can be the basis for further study of exogenous bioregulation of productivity of saprophytic ergot strains.
