ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT RANGE OF ENT DRUGS FOR TOPICAL USE

The authors analyzed the range of medicines from the «State Register of Medicines», which is currently preferred in medical practice in the treatment of inflammatory
diseases of the mouth. The results showed that of the 37 selected items − the largest percentage is formed by such dosage forms such as aerosols and
sprays; the lowest − is formed by soft dosage forms. Moreover, of the analyzed range − 80% are medicinal products based on synthetic substances, which indicates
the need to develop drugs to treat inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity from herbal sources. Drugs derived from plant sources, are always present in
the arsenal of medication Medicine. They contain biological active complexes, which cause mild effects to the body as compared synthetic drugs, better tolerated,
much less likely to cause side effects and are generally not exhibit cumulative properties. In connection to that, there is need to develop phytomedicine drugs that
posses antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, immunostimulatory effects, and able to reduce inflammation in the oral cavity.
