Content and component composition of the lipid fraction of achenes Rhaponticum carthamoides were analyzed. Its content was 22,3±0,33%. Llipid fraction was mobile oily transparent liquid. The color light yellow. The index of refraction was 1,4617±0,001. Trilinolein prevailed in the lipid fraction. The presence of the steroid compounds were noted: squalene, cholest-5-en-3-ol, 24propildien, γ-sitosterol ‒ a precursor of vitamin D, and cholic acid. Vitamin E was also noted. Content of alcohol-soluble and hydrophilic substances from non-fat meal were produced and studied. Alcohol-soluble substance contained in quantity 24,70±0,40%, hydrophilic substance ‒ 7,38±0,06%. The data are presented in absolutely dry raw materials. The study of qualitative composition of extractives substances extracted with water were carried out. It was noted the presence of flavonoids. Rhaponticum carthamoides achenes are perspective oil raw material.
