The questions of standardization of silicon-containing polyol derivatives possessed reparative, regenerating action, high pene-trating activity in body tissues have been considered in this article. These compounds have already been successfully approved as the basis of medicines for the local treatment of urological and gynecological diseases in medical and veterinary practice. The project of the Pharmacopoeial Article for the substance of silicon dimethylglycerolates with chemical formula (CH3)2Si(C3H7O3)2.C3H8O3 has been developed in accordance with the current regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for standardization of active pharmaceutical substances. Most of the quality indicators have been normalized and determined by the methods, described in the relevant General Pharmacopoeial Articles of the State Pharmacopoeia of XIII edition. The method of IR spectroscopy and qualitative chemical reactions to silicon and glycerol have been proposed for Authenticity determination. The method of atomic emission spectrophotometry has been proposed for determination of the quantitative content of silicon and extraneous impurities. Taking into account the unified chemical nature of silicon-containing derivatives of polyols, the list of indicators and methods of quality control listed in the article can be recommended for the standardization of all substances of silicon-containing polyol derivatives.
