The effect of copper (50−300 μM) on the biomass of the aerial part of plants and roots, the content of water and photosynthetic pigments in the leaves of Calendula officinalis L. under the conditions of aquatic culture has been studied. The accumulation of copper in the roots, leaves and flowers of calendula has been determined. It is established that the calendula is quite resistant to the action of copper, and the accumulation of Cu in the plant is organospecific. In all variants of the experiments performed the content of copper in the roots was higher than in the plant aerial part. The highest level of copper accumulation was observed in the middle tiers of the leaves; in the leaves of the shoot tip, the copper content decreased and the most noticeable decrease was observed in the flowers.
