In prophylaxis and treatment of toxic and medicinal damages of a liver perspective use of medicines of a phytogenesis is considered. The last have sufficient effectiveness, a broad spectrum of activity, small toxicity and the possibility of their prolonged use connected with it. A perspective object for the development of new medicinal preparations for prophylaxis and treatment of medicinal damages of a liver is the plant a thoroughwax golden – (Bupleurum aureum Fisch. seu longifolium L.), actively used in traditional medicine. In All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants a dry extract of Bupleurum aureum grass is developed and standardized. The research of the influence of this extract on a condition of a liver of rats is conducted in the conditions of the experimental toxic hepatitis. In the work models of tetrachlormethane and tetracycline hepatitis were. It is experimentally established that the dry extract of a grass of a thoroughwax golden in the conditions of these models has hepatoprotective and detoxifying properties in doses of 50 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg; at the same time the dose-dependent effect of the extract is noted
