THE FAR EAST FLORA MEDICINAL PLANTS IN THE COLLECTION OF THE NIKITSKY BOTANICAL GARDENS

The results of a long-term introductory test of medicinal plants of the Far East Flora (Dioscorea nipponica Makino, Lespedeza bicolor L., Rhodiola rosea L. Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi., Securinega suffruticosa (Pall.) Rehd.,) in the collection of aromatic and medicinal plants of the Nikitsky Botanical Gardens. The scale of prospects of cultivation of medicinal plants is developed on the basis of an assessment of the success of introduction, the duration of existence in culture, the damage to pests and diseases, and the conformity of the life form. The prospects of cultivation of Securinega suffruticosa and Scutellaria baicalensis in conditions of a dry subtropical climate of the Mediterranean type of the Southern coast of Crimea are shown.
